Researchers at Mass General Brigham are using artificial intelligence to estimate a person’s age from a selfie.
They believe the A-I tool, called "FaceAge", could offer new clues for doctors about an individual's overall health.
NewsCenter 5 Anchor Jessica Brown submitted her own selfie for analysis.
“Think about it as a predictor of your health and life expectancy,” said Hugo Aerts, director of the AI in medicine program at Mass General Brigham.
Aerts said FaceAge compares how old a person looks — or "biological age" — to how old they actually are using an algorithm to identify patterns of aging.
